Sharon Cuneta’s Outdoor Area Will Remind You of Posh Resorts

It’s all about embracing the sun, taking a dip, and spending hours lounging by the pool

When we first featured the Megastar Sharon Cuneta’s home in Mandaluyong, it’s easy to see why her friends call it The Fortress. The enclosed property seems impenetrable and the façade is imposing. As you enter though, a different kind of warmth welcomes you. Blooms add color and life to the space, while neutral colors and well-chosen must-haves make each area bright, homey, and inviting. Of course, the two spacious living rooms furnished with plush seating pieces must not be forgotten.

Who wouldn’t enjoy staying in this home? Aside from the impressive interiors, the outdoor area deserves the spotlight as well. Not only is it a refreshing sight, it can rival your favorite weekend getaway when it comes to making you feel calm and relaxed. Here are just some of the details we loved:

The two-storey guesthouse looks like a standalone property.

We’re familiar with guest rooms and extra sleeping areas, but a two-storey structure sure takes quick vacations to the next level. Sharon’s firstborn, actress KC Concepcion, used to stay in the guesthouse before finally moving into her own condo unit. Who wouldn’t want to stay in this stunning space? It features walls made of glass, a lounge area, and a bar counter perfect for get-togethers.

The spacious backyard has a pool and a lush garden.

Soaking up some sun will be a treat when you’re surrounded by towering trees and calming plants. According to the Megastar, a gardener regularly maintains the area.

Wrought iron pieces add a touch of elegance to the outdoor area.

Aside from the wooden seating pieces that bring the vibe of the beach, the outdoor lounge area highlights a mix of wrought iron pieces. The matching chairs add a vintage twist to the setup, while the glass-topped table makes for an interesting focal point.

Take inspiration from Sharon’s outdoor lounge area by setting up wooden seating pieces. These are perfect for sunbathing and bonding with friends. Don’t forget to prep some refreshments.

Find similar pieces at Habitat Manila, 5th Avenue and 28th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. For more outdoor furniture options, you can also visit Wilcon Depot, OMO Furniture in LRI Design Plaza, and check out A. Garcia Crafts.

While it’s fun to maximize the outdoor area for pool parties, it can also be the ideal venue for brunches and simple dinners. A chic dining set can be spruced up with a tall vase of blooms and votive candles. With this setup, you can instantly imagine that you’re dining by the beach.

You can shop for outdoor and wrought iron furniture for less! Schedule a trip to Kamias Road in Quezon City and do check out the vintage shops. You can also drop by Evangelista Street in Makati City and Jo-Liza Arts & Antiques at #664 Jose Abad Santos, Little Baguio, San Juan.

Depending on the size of your garden, you can also use it to grow your own fruits and vegetables. Sharon’s garden features a bevy of ornamental plants and fruit-bearing trees like papaya.
