When it comes to decorating your personal space, you should always keep an eye out for things that can inspire you. You never know -- you just might find decorating ideas from some of the people, events, and places around you.

For this special feature, we found a few interesting design elements in the latest branch of I Do Nails in McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Don't be afraid of color

Bright hues like green, blue, and purple make the facade of the salon stand out. You can also brighten up your own space with a few vibrant shades.

Try white on white

The white shelves are mounted on the side of the white staircase. You can also pair white pieces for a clean and pristine look. Just remember to use different textures for a more interesting effect.

Pick glossy finishes

One of the walls in the first floor of the salon has a gleaming surface. This helps highlight the nail products on the open shelves. You may also choose shiny finishes to draw attention to a certain part of your home.

Keep it in the (color) family

If you're having trouble choosing colors for your home, you can stick to your favorite colors in varying shades -- from the lightest hue to the darkest tone.

Pick a statement piece

I Do Nails owner Monica Maceda visited many stores to find a white neo-Baroque chandelier. A unique lighting fixture can leave a lasting impression in small spaces or in places with high ceilings.

Opt for prints

Spruce up one wall of your home with the pattern of your choice. This is an affordable way to adorn an otherwise plain and boring surface.

Take on a DIY project

If you don't have extra cash to spend on a painting or two, you should make your own wall art. In this case, Monica worked on the "I Do Nails" letters herself.

Use hidden lighting

For a dramatic effect in your room, you may also opt for cove lighting.
