Make sure that your dining table is proportionate your room, “The table should neither be too big that it leaves no room to walk around it, or too small that there’s wasted space,” says Issa.
Sync it with your room’s overall look.
According to Issa, you can pair your table with a different set of chairs to make it more stylish and less contrived. However, for formal entertaining, it’s best to stick to matching chairs.
Don’t make it a dumping ground.
Don’t turn your table into an instant eyesore by leaving unnecessary condiments, grocery items or medicines on top of it. “Dress the table with a few accessories. This way, you won’t be tempted to put anything on top of your dining table,” Issa adds.
Choose pieces that are light and easy to move around come mealtime. Candlesticks, a bowl of fruits or a bunch of flowers are ideal.
Add a refreshing touch.
You may choose to add decorative plants like succulents on a tray. This easy idea can add a natural and relaxed vibe to the space before eating.
