Use a slim and sleek console.
Mirrors can be beautiful on a foyer for a "last look" function [before] going out. You can also hang artworks in lieu of a mirror.
If space allows, place a slipper chair or stool in your foyer so guests can comfortably sit while taking off their shoes.
You can put vases with fresh flowers, lamps, or framed photos as tabletop accessories.
Add a small bowl or tray as a catchall for your keys.
Styling Tip: Assymetrical Balance
You don't always have to place identical objects on both sides of your console. Play with different objects and heights.
For this setup, vases with flowers were placed on one side and a tall table decor on the other to anchor both sides with height. Fill the middle with low accessories.
