Dorm rooms are generally small. To maximize your teen’s space, conceal clutter by using storage pieces such as boxes that you can keep under the bed, closet storage accessories and slim hangers.
Given the limited space, expect the drawers to be filled with your child’s daily essentials such as art materials, cosmetics, and even toiletries. Use a kitchen flatware divider or plastic containers to create sections for a more organized drawer.
Choose an ottoman that opens up as a storage box. Aside from extra seating, this functional piece is great for storing school materials.
Help your teen focus on school work by dedicating an area for studying. Place a desk in one corner of the room to maximize the space. If the room is small, you may opt for a custom-made, floating desk.
The dorm room is your teen’s second home. Encourage them to express their personalities by allowing them to hang their favorite posters and photos! You can also help them decorate their drawers or bookshelves by using washi tape.
