RL Spotlight: A Chef and Food Stylist's Organized Kitchen
Angelo Comsti's passion for preparing and styling delicious dishes is reflected in his personal space
For as long as he can remember, Angelo has already been drawn to the kitchen. “I’ve always been into food kasi my mom’s a caterer. I see her cooking, and then my grandmom, I see her cooking also when we go to her place. And I love food, but I never really tapped into it,” Angelo recalls.
When he became Yummy magazine’s Associate Food Stylist, he finally embraced his gastronomic calling. “I got to meet a lot of chefs, [and discovered] mgarestaurants. Ayun, two years of working for Yummy, I really fell in love with food.” And so unfolds this guy’s affair with all things delicious.
After studying in Australia for almost two years, Angelo came back to the Philippines to co-write a book, Homemade for the Holidays, with chef Aileen Anastacio. His second book is a collection of heirloom recipes called From Our Table To Yours.

Angelo furnished his compact but organized kitchen with a steel preparation table. This table gives him enough space to prepare ingredients.
The steel preparation table is also used to store Angelo's cherished books.
Spruce up your space with a bowl of vibrant and luscious fruits.
Angelo organized his plates and bowls by color and size. Pieces of the same kind are always stacked together.
To free up counter space, Angelo chose to hang pots, pans, onion, and garlic on a black rack on the wall.
Who says storage options have to be boring? Angelo keeps his utensils in colorful tin cans and salt and pepper in ceramic shakers.
