Building, renovating or simply decorating a family home can be a challenging task. After all, you have to consider the personality and lifestyle of every family member and the amount of money you can spare for the project.

As for the design side of things, we just might be able to help you with this list of warm, cozy, and inviting houses.

Modern Industrial Style for a Family Home Modern industrial design is an ideal choice for family homes because it looks refreshingly clean and clutter-free. Bare and simple spaces can also be affordable because there is no need for expensive elements. After living in a 150sqm condo unit for 15 years, John and Bambi Camus chose this sleek and streamlined style for the house that they would share with children Lucho, Ally, and Nicolai. Bambi’s brother, Beijing-based architect Marco Torres, designed the two-storey house.

Together, the couple changed Jardine's bachelor pad into a home fit for a small family.

A clean and cozy feel is perfected in a home found in the heart of Talisay, Negros Occidental, just a short drive away from Bacolod. Owned by Tonet Ramos, his wife Ann and their two kids, the property reflects the family’s appreciation for open spaces with a distinct Asian tropical resort appeal.

New Rooms for a Family Home As the years go by, a family can grow and their needs can change. To accommodate new members and evolving lifestyles, some houses – such as this one owned by a brood from Bacolod – must be expanded. With the help of interior designer Kristine Neri-Magturo, a new wing connected to the original home was built.

Two-Storey House with Modern Filipino Design The defining factor that turns a house into a home is a reflection of the homeowner’s personality in the interiors. This can come in the form of quirky accessories that show the owner’s playful character or a fascinating display of personal collections. In the private space of couple Paolo and Issa Feliciano, their sense of style can be seen in each piece of furniture and design element.

Renovation for an Old House For years, Kai and Cyrus Cruz tried to find the perfect place to call their own. Much to their surprise, the ideal match came in an unexpected form: Kai’s childhood home. With its high ceiling and huge windows, the 40-year-old structure was certainly a prized find. However, the couple still had to renovate the dwelling into something more functional without losing the nostalgic appeal they both fell in love with.
