Pearly Shells

What you need: a small punch bowl or a footed glass vase, a variety of real or faux seashells, simple white candles, pebbles, and coarse sand

Create a dry "aquarium" by arranging assorted shells inside a see-through container. Make sure they're not too cramped to show off their forms. Beside it, line three or four small tinted bowls or vases. Fill them with pebbles or coarse sands and erect white candles in the middle. You might want to use floral frog to ensure the candles won't topple over.

Mad Tea Hatter's Party

What you need: teacups,  saucers, a cake stand, and fresh flowers in your favorite color

Imagine a crazy hatter hosting an afternoon cake and coffee. Channel the same carefree vibe in raiding your own cupboard-or your tita's and neighbor's-for some teacups and saucers and arranging them harmoniously. Throw in a couple of pieces in white, and choose blooms in the same color family to tie in the whole look together.

Clear Intentions

What you need: stemware, clear vases, clear bottles, sequins, beads, mini pompoms, peacock feathers, and glittery things

Choose five to six clear glasses and vessels and fill them with different kinds of beads, sequins, and the like. You may fill each one with the same type and color (purple sequins) or combination (red seed beads and silver sequins). Leave some vessels empty. Also, throw in texture-rich dŽcor such as peacock feathers for contrast.

Into the Woods

What you need: a decorative bird cage, twigs from your backyard, and fresh flowers (ask your florist to throw in some baby's breath, too!)

In lieu of birds, tuck a bunch of flowers inside the bird cage. You can also make small floral arrangements by filling clear glasses with the blooms of your choice. Complete the table with the twigs from your garden.
