Does your foyer look too tita? Don't be afraid to inject your personality into the area. Make it brighter and more welcoming by giving your old console and mirror a new coat of paint and adding a fun pattern. Here's how:

Materials:

  • 1 can lacquer spray paint
  • 1 can red spray paint
  • 1 fine paintbrush
  • Masking tape
  • Sandpaper

How-to:

1. Sand over the wooden surfaces of the console and mirror, then wipe with a rag.

2. Spray with paint primer. When dry, spray paint with lacquer finish and let dry.

3. Block off a Union Jack or a stripe pattern on top of the console using masking tape, then spray paint the pattern with a bold color like red. Let dry.
