Remove Stains from Leather with One, Easy Hack
There's no need to worry about discoloration or tears, too
One of the biggest decisions you have to make when dressing up your home is choosing between a leather or a fabric couch. Most homeowners usually go with the latter as most types of hide are relatively easy to clean and very durable. However, there is one side to such an elegant piece—it's highly prone to stains, too. To help you deal with stubborn dirt without ruining your sofa, here's a two-step hack you can try:
What you need:
- Lemon juice
- Cream of Tartar
- A mixing bowl
- A soft washcloth
- Start by mixing one part lemon juice and one part Cream of Tartar—depending on how much you need—to make a paste.
- Apply the paste onto the stained area and rub it onto the leather in small, circular motions using a washcloth. If there is buildup, leave the mixture on for around an hour or two before scrubbing.
- Wipe the mixture off with a clean, damp washcloth. Polish your leather as usual.
