Q: My husband and I are struggling to make both ends meet so we can't afford to hire a helper. Since I am a working mom, I'm frustrated because I don't get to clean the house as much as I want to. I also find it hard to erase the crayon marks left by our toddlers on our white walls and wooden floors. We've already talked to them but they still do it behind our backs! What's the best way to get rid of these marks? Can you also give us tips on how to conceal them without awkwardly spot-painting them?—Mrs. C, Quezon City

A: It looks like you have a couple of budding artists in your home. It’s good that they have an outlet for their creativity but not at the expense of your floor and walls! Several solutions can remove crayon marks from your walls. You can try a damp cloth, baby wipes, or toothpaste. If these don't work, you can also use WD-40.

To make sure that they don’t draw on your surfaces, you can also install a huge blackboard in the play area! Kids love drawing with chalk. This way, they can still create their artistic masterpieces without damaging your property!
