Elegant, light-filled, and cozy—this home is all of that and more

From the outside, this one-of-a-kind contemporary structure looks like five separate houses. In reality, however, it is made up of five connected pavillions that make up a spacious home. Influenced by vernacular New England architecture, the residence, known as "Village of One's Own," was designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen as a way of combining modern and traditional designs. 

Every part of the home is distinct in style with varying roof lines, contemporary windows, and different building materials. Aside from three towering chimneys, the high ceilings are topped with various-shaped skylights to help natural light pour into the space. It is also fully equipped with a beautiful terrace connected to the dining area, a fireplace, a library, three bedrooms and two baths. Take a tour of the witty and magnificent home below:
