Must-See: Dad Transforms Daughter's Bedroom Into A Fairytale Setting
This guy wins a Best Dad Of The Year award!
When a little girl says, "I want a fairy tree in my room for my birthday," most dads would run to the toy store and buy a play house. Reddit user radamshome is not one of them.
He happily obliged when his daughter asked for an enchanting nook where she could read her books and have a top seating area when it's time for play. After 350 hours over 18 months, he ended up with a magical masterpiece.
Being a game artist by profession and amateur miniature painter, radamshome didn't have a hard time working with a budget under $4,250 (around P20,000). The secret? He only sourced materials from local supply stores, worked on DIY solutions, and consulted with friends in their neighborhood such as fire protection engineers and carpenters.
Aside from the woodland animal accessories and a carpet that mimics real grass, radamshome also wove Christmas lights into the branches, capable of being dimmed, to simulate stars.
For those who worry about durablility, he reveals that the tree is sturdy enough to hold three adults as it is made from a mix of rebar and concrete with steel skeleton support.
