What can you do with a 24sqm homeThe Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.

One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for a 28-year-old travel blogger who has fallen in love with the charm of Egyptian design. Here are the 4 things that you should take note of in this compact space:

The Well-Planned Space

Graduating students Lizbeth de Chavez, Rosalyn Pangilinan, Dennis Salas, and Maan Balse Vicera made the most of a small space! Although the place only measures 24 square meters, they were able to put in living, kitchen, and dining areas. There is also a private space for the bed and bath.

The Color Scheme

Since Egyptian structures are usually completed with limestone and granite, the students chose building materials and furniture pieces with similar colors and patterns. The brown, black, and gold shades remind us of the famous towering pyramids.

The Interesting Details

The space is completed with a few customized touches, including the drop lights, the wooden chest, and the Sphinx decor on the shelf above the flat-screen TV.

The Accent Wall

The students also built a unique accent wall that looks like it is made from limestone and granite. At the center of the wall are hieroglyphics carved out of a single panel.

Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
