How does fashion blogger Laureen Uy take a break? It's safe to say that when she's not busy traveling the world, experiencing new things, or spending time with her closest friends, she'll be at home—lounging around and updating her blog, Break My Style. Just like all homeowners, Laureen has her own set of favorite things at home—from color combos that captivate to must-have gadgets—her list will give you a peek into her home life. Check out her picks below:

Home Accessory:

“Books and frames. It feels more homey knowing I have pictures of my family and friends all over my place. It’s also nice to see all the books I’ve read scattered around my living room.”

Recycling Trick:

“I keep empty candle jars and would use them to fill up empty spaces inside my place.”

Object on the Night Table:

“A candle, tea, a book, a scented massage oil in case I want to get a massage, and speakers.”

Find Voluspa candles at Dimensione, High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Pick-me-up Treat:

“I love making chia beakfast pudding. I mix almond milk, muesli, and chia seeds in a bowl until the mixture begins to thicken. Then I mix it with fruits and almonds as toppings. Best when super chilled.”

Home Scent:

“Diptyque Baies candle. I usually light a candle every night, and this one is usually lit on special occasions when it’s a super stressful day or when I arrive from a long press trip.”

Visit Diptyque Paris at 1/F Bonifacio Central Square, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Design Book:

“Domino: The Book of Decorating. This book taught me a lot of tricks when I was decorating my unit.”

Available at National Book Store.

Area in the Home:

“My bedroom. When I’m inside my room, I don’t feel any stress. The combination of the colors is so relaxing, and when my TV is on, there’s no way you’re going to make me leave my bed.”

Color Combination:

“All colors combined. It’s true!”

Try Electrify, Aegean Sea, Luscious Lips, Bubblegum Pink, Sashay Red, Golden Charmer, and Jumping For Joy all from Nippon Paint.

Home Gadget:

“My vinyl player. I use it every morning when I’m working on my email, editing photos or making a blog post because it makes work more fun.”

Available at Satchmi, 4/L Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

Travel Destination:

“This is a tough question, but it would be South Africa, South America, and Spain.”
