IKEA's Indoor Gardening Series Will Make Your Garden Dreams Come True

We're definitely putting this on our wish list!

When it comes to recreational hobbies, you can't go wrong with gardening—tending to plants can reduce stress, it gives you access to fresh greens, and it can even filter the air in our homes. However, for city dwellers, having a sprawling lawn may not be an option.

Lucky for us, IKEA—Swedish home and living conglomerate—has launched the KRYDDA/VÄXER Series. The line is created to be an indoor gardening collection that lets you grow your own garden all-year round and in the comfort of your own home.

What makes it possible? The KRYDDA/VÄXER Series uses hydroponic technology—it means that it nourishes the plants even without soil, but relies on water and nutrients solutions instead. All you have to do is plant the seeds in the absorbent starter plugs to keep them moist until they become seedlings. Once they have sprouted, replant the seedlings into a bigger container with a growing medium—you can use gravel, perlite, or fiber—before exposing it to sunlight and, voilà, you have your very own green wonder!

With the KRYDDA/VÄXER Series all you need to grow a bountiful garden is a growing kit from IKEA and a whole lot of love!

While these goodies are only currently available in the mainland UK, you can still get your hands on it with a little help from friends and relatives abroad. To learn more about this collection and to see more photos, click here
