KISH Works With Kris Aquino
The Queen of All Media gets a sleek rebranding by KISH LIVE
Talk show host and all-around-celebrity Kris Aquino is known for her no-holds-barred comments, her flamboyant personality, and her equally colorful houses and condos—most of which are in all shades of pink, or white with touches of pink.
This year, Kris gets a subtle and sophisticated revamp in branding and identity concept by KISH LIVE, the corporate design and communications arm of visual storyteller Ito Kish. KISH LIVE falls under Ito Kish’s other sub-brands, which include ITO KISH HOME, which showcases the designer’s award-winning furniture pieces, KISH STORIES, which carries a wide selection of carefully-selected décor and furniture from all over the world, and KISH INTERIORS, which handles all interior projects.
In their latest project, KISH LIVE takes symbols and colors that are associated with Kris Aquino—namely, hearts, pink, and the letter K—and incorporates them into sleek and minimalist graphic design for her logo, calling card, stationery set, and other collaterals.
The KISH LIVE website explains the process of the design: “We used her trademark heart symbol to highlight Kris’s loving persona, playing around with different shapes, colors, and arrangements to elevate the heart symbol as a show of class and sophistication. The color sakura pink is juxtaposed with the clean and elegant designs, and bright color most associated with her.” The heart is subtly incorporated into the logo and into the cutout notch at the top of the calling card.
In terms of the logo, the letter K written in script is most identified with the celebrity, and is thus used subtly in the brand’s collaterals. To see more of KISH LIVE and other KISH brands, click here.
