Jumpstart Your Day: This is the Kitchen Box Of Your Dreams

Save space and cook meals with ease

How many times have you seen transforming furniture? Aside from being certified must-haves, these pieces perfectly combine style and function—helping homeowners make the most of their spaces without sacrificing aesthetics. While we’re familiar with sofas that turn into beds, folding tables, and wall beds, another space-saving wonder that caught our attention is the Kitchen Box.

Source and photos: Living in a shoebox.

A product of Italian company CLEI, this hideaway kitchen looks like any other cabinet or closet when not in use. When you open it, you get to have an extra counter space and a fully equipped cooking corner—complete with a sink, an induction hob with two cookers, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a hood.

On the other side of the counter, owners get to have extra storage for food items, bottles, and other kitchen tools.

According to archiproducts, the kitchen is also equipped with water and electricity connections. Worried about the wear and tear of this box? The materials are scratch-resistant, waterproof, and have anti-mildew properties.

In this setup, the Kitchen Box is combined with another CLEI piece, the Penelope Dining Up. It features a foldaway bed and a table that can be used for meals and when entertaining friends. When it’s time to use the bed, a translational motion sets the table under the bed—without the need to remove the items on top of it. Both items resemble walls when not in use—giving the home a clean and streamlined look.

The Kitchen Box is available as an individual item and can be used to complete the CLEI Living System.

RL Tip: See the chalkboard part of the box on the right? It can be used to take note of grocery lists and other helpful reminders. Aside from cabinet doors, you can also transform a part of your door or cupboards into DIY Chalkboard Walls for a playful touch.
