Jumpstart Your Day: 4 Ways to Cozy Up Modern Homes

Make your space look warm and playful with these tips

Modern homes highlight sleek lines, a neutral color palette, and other design elements that complete a clean and simple look. While these spaces may seem raw and bare, you can do a few adjustments to make it more homey and inviting. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

Add soft furnishings

Consider sprucing up your living area! A throw, a shag rug, some fluffy pillows, and soft drapes instead of a stiff roller blonds can help soften the edge of ultra-modern homes.

Use bright colors

Going monochrome makes a stiff modern interior look tired. Add a  few touches of red, orange, or aqua in the form of accessories.

Add wooden pieces for warmth

Wood finishes in walnut or blonde wood work best to temper the clean lines and smooth, shiny surfaces of modern interiors.

 Make it lived-in

Don’t make modern homes look too pristine and perfect, unless you’re going for a minimalist look. Leave your coffee cups out in the open and add lots of living plants.
