IN PHOTOS: How To Fold A Fitted Sheet
Ace this tricky household chore in six easy steps!
Folding a fitted sheet properly is the household equivalent of untying the Gordian knot—there comes a point where you think it couldn’t be done! If you find yourself folding your sheet into a crumpled little mess, use our step-by-step guide with photos on how to master the perfect fold.
Hold the sheet up, inside out by placing your hands in its two adjacent corners, both hands tucked underneath the elastic portion.
Bring the corner on your right hand to the one on your left; folding the first over the latter. This now puts the sheet in a right-side position.
Now pick up the third corner and fold it over the first two (fold is inside-out).
Next, straighten the sheet out into the shape above, with the elastic portion on top. Lay it flat.
Fold into three parts. Create a large rectangle with straight sides. Hide the elastic portion by folding in that side first.
Keep folding until you form a neat, flat rectangle in the size you want.
