How Do You Transform a Kids' Room into a Teens' Room?
Create a unique and functional space with these ideas
Now that your kids have all grown up, it's time to give their rooms a new look. From displaying toys and other knickknacks, you can now add pieces like study tables with drawers, wall-mounted shelves, and other multipurpose picks.
Make sure you encourage your kids to keep the room clean and clutter-fee while expressing themselves. Here are a few tips on how to turn a kids' room into a teen haven.
Pick a versatile wall color
Pastels and charming hues like yellow, pink, and blue are common paint colors in a kids' room. However, when they reach their teens, they may want to tone down the colors a bit. You may experiment with neutrals as these are versatile colors. Aside from white, you can also try painting the room beige or sage green for a youthful vibe. Choose accessories and decor that go well with such colors to complete the look.
Opt for trundle beds
Trundle beds are not only space-savers, they are multipurpose too! Your kids can use it as a daybed if they simply want to lounge around or read a book.

Keep their favorite things
Always be open to your kids' suggestions when decorating their space. Ask for their inputs and make sure to display some of the things they love and collect. Replace kiddie decor with other pieces like artwork, photos, and framed prints.
