What can you do with a 24sqm homeThe Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) graduating students explore the possibilities through Studio 24, an interior design exhibit with 24 different units that measure 24 square meters each.

One of the 24 spaces is a studio unit for an Italian-Filipina jewelry maker who came to the Philippines to start her own business and learn more about her roots! Here are the 5 things that we liked best in this small yet sophisticated space:

The Greco Roman Style

Many homeowners are afraid to choose classic and opulent designs for their small homes! However, if you choose the right layout, color scheme, and furniture pieces, a grand style can still be perfect for a compact area.

This particular space styled by graduating students Xiamara Toledo, Ciara Abigail Ramos, Karl Paulo Monterey, and Viktoria Camille Corpuz has a Greco Roman look.

The Grand Columns and Curtains

Since the home is 24sqm small, the students couldn't put up any walls. To separate the different areas and add to the Greco Roman feel of the home, they chose columns and curtains instead!

The Vanity Mirror

To the left of the clawfoot bath tub is a lighted vanity mirror above a white lavatory. Beside it are two niches for displaying jewelry — a nod to the homeowner's profession.

The Chandelier

The lighting fixture can play an important role in your home! Apart from illuminating the space, it can also serve as a focal point in any room. In this particular area, an old-fashioned chandelier is an ideal choice.

The Living and Dining Area

A corner of the studio unit has been turned into a living and dining area. The space is furnished with a white bench and a pair of stools with intricately carved bases.

Studio 24 will run from October 3 to 31, 2015 at the Ronac Lifestyle Center, Paseo de Magallanes, Makati City. Admission is free.
