DIY: Valentine’s Day Succulents

Express your love this day of hearts by giving away succulents


Planning to give unique gifts to your loved ones this Valentine’s Day? How about giving away personalized succulents? You can keep and preserve these plants instead of keeping roses that wilt. Learn how to create your own V-Day succulents with the help of these tips.

  • Assorted succulents
  • Mini metal buckets
  • White fish tank gravel
  • Barbeque sticks
  • Paper heart cut-outs
  • Glue
  • Scissors

1.      First, place small rocks on the bottom of your bucket so the water can drain.

2.     Add soil on top of the stones. Make sure you use succulent potting soil because it has higher sand content than regular soil, which is suitable for the succulents' natural habitat.

3.     Place your succulent carefully inside and spread out a thin layer of white fish tank gravel.

4.     Cut-out paper hearts then stick them on barbeque sticks, to create personalized messages for your loved ones.
