Believe it or not, decluttering the home doesn’t always require manual labor—with today’s advanced technology, you can clear your home of chaos with a little bit of virtual help! If you don’t have the time to drive to donation centers or set up garage sales, here’s a list of things you can do to get rid of your stuff without leaving the comforts of your couch:

1. Set up an online shop.

If you want to make money off of your preloved items but you can't fit putting up a yard sale into your jampacked schedule, try going online instead. To make it easy to manage, consider using Instagram or Facebook—as a bonus, you can get the word out about your shop quicker on social media.

2. Donate to organizations you can message.

For those who would rather share it with the less fortunate but don't know where to leave the goods, there are some organizations that would be happy to pick it up from your doorstep—all you have to do is send them a message and wait for them to drop by!

4. Get into the business of buy and sell.

If you’ve been going to actual thrift stores looking to save a buck or two buying secondhand furniture, then you’re in for a surprise—you can do the same to your stuff, too. If you're in need of a new furniture piece, save some money and go for an online swap.

5. Give them as gifts.

If you have a lot of designer pieces or items of value, consider giving them as gifts to family or friends. Post them on Facebook and let your contacts choose which pieces they want to adopt.
