The Cost: P150 for the shade

To turn your lampshade into a unique planter, simply turn it upside down. You may add it as a part of a small vignette on top of a console or as a casual centerpiece on your dining table.

RL Tips:

  • To give it an entirely new look, spray-paint it white or in a distressed pastel color.
  • Another great flea market to visit when looking for budget home finds is the ils de tuls (ilalim ng tulay) area in Quiapo. If you’re brave enough to visit the no nonsense, tumbledown stalls, you’ll find a treasure trove of wooden, woven wicker, and Capiz home products just waiting to be upgraded!
