Color Combo: Blush Pink and Neutrals

This sweet combination is actually saucy when done in a modern way

We’ve all been used to seeing this year’s color palette Serenity and Rose Quartz, but if you isolate the rose quartz—which you can also call “blush pink”—you can create a palette that is less sweet and more grown up when paired with periwinkle. Use blush in modern forms, and it can even become sophisticated.

So when we received the collection preview of Italian furniture brand Calligaris for Salone de Mobile Milano 2016, we were pleasantly surprised to see all grades of blush for some of their collections! So don’t relegate this tint to kids’ rooms and boudoirs; you can create a modern statement with these pieces below.

Calligaris’ moodboard for Salone de Mobile features their popular pieces like the Urban Sofabed, Medley Rug, Sweet Sofa, and Soap Pouf, all in shades of pink such as blush, dusty rose, and ruby.

The Cathedral Candleholder is whimsical and streamlined at the same time. It works just as well in classical interiors as in modern ones.

These Flavour Vases actually look like sculptures. There are different sizes of the shapely containers, so you can layer them in various heights.

This jacquard-woven Rose rug designed by Valerio Sommella is a graphic beauty—a dramatic addition to a living room or foyer. The pattern is a stylized representation of a rose bush in bloom.

To see the local collections of Calligaris, visit them at the Mezzanine of the Clipp Center, 11th Ave. cor. 39th St., Bonifacio Global City, and at Witco Universal Marketing, 868-A, AS Fortuna St., Banilad, Cebu City.
