Building 101: Wood Sourcing
Scour home depots for pocket-friendly hardwood finds
Laong Laan Street in downtown Manila offers good quality secondhand lumber derived from old homes. If you’re lucky, you may also score old capiz window panels, solid wood doors, and other parts of old houses. But if Laon Laan is too far from your home, you can always visit home depots in your area for legal Philippine hardwood types and earth-friendly alternatives like laminate flooring.
