Airbnb Of The Week: Van Gogh's The Bedroom
We're booking a ticket to Chicago A-SAP!
If you think you're looking at Vincent Van Gogh's famous painting of his bedroom in Arles, your eyes are playing a trick on you.
It is a replica of the original artwork brought to life by a group of artists from the Art Institute of Chicago. The amzing bedroom was done to celebrate the first time Van Gogh's work was going to be displayed in North America. "Van Gogh's Bedrooms" will feature the paintings of his domestic space including The Bedroom.
Decorated in a Post-Impressionist style as influenced by Southern France, the room has been put up for rent on Airbnb. Visitors will get a chance to live in the Yellow House, which is located outside the museum’s campus in River North. The bonus? It doesn't cost much as they are only asking for $10 (around P480) per night and for a good reason. As stated on the Airbnb posting, it will be used to buy more paint for maintenance.
If you are planning to visit Chicago soon, you may want to stay in this one-of-a-kind space. Click here to book and learn more about the room's amenities.
