8 Things to Love About Bea Alonzo's Home
Find out what we appreciate the most in this Kapamilya actress' house in Quezon City
As one of the most successful actresses in the country, there are many things that Bea Alonzo can definitely be proud of. One of the things that the Kapamilya star should be proudest of is her own house in Quezon City. Bea saved up for the 600sqm lot and worked closely with interior designer Jeizele delos Reyes-Go to build a three-storey home with an Urban Asian Glam style.
Here are the things that we love the most in this elegant and sophisticated celebrity home:
The living area looks bright, airy, and spacious because of the high ceiling. Jeizele complemented the height of the ceiling with an elegant necklace-like chandelier and the white materials and furniture.
While most powder rooms are plain and bare, this one is an obvious exception. The gold mosaic tiles, ornate wall mirror, and the lighted countertop make the space feel luxurious.
The dining area is furnished with an unexpected combination of pieces. The wooden dining table with rough edges is surrounded with fully upholstered dining chairs. Pairing a rough table with refined chairs makes the space unique.
The kitchen is made interesting with a glass-ceramic cooktop, a range hood, built-in convection and microwave ovens, an espresso machine, and an ice cream machine. Bea even has a precious collection of Emerilware cookware, the brand of pots and pans by celebrity chef Emeril Legasse.
Since it would be impractical and inconvenient to prepare the formal dining area for everyday meals, it is always a great idea to have a breakfast nook. The breakfast nook has an L-shaped banquette seat, a fully upholstered chair, and a small breakfast table.
The home office on the ground floor of the three-storey home stands out because of its timeless look and its luxe finishes. One of the walls is covered with a damask pattern in a neutral hue. The space is furnished with a tufted office chair and a matching fully upholstered loveseat and ottoman.
The tall white shelves with lighted niches do not only leave a lasting impression — they are also useful in storing and displaying Bea's acting trophies and other personal belongings.
On the other side of the room is a wall covered with black-and-white portraits of the lady of the home taken by top photographer Mark Nicdao. Beneath the photo wall is a console table topped with an old-fashioned typewriter and a phonograph from Heima.
The interior designer originally proposed six bedrooms but Bea decided to have two instead. The other bedrooms planned were replaced with a master bathroom, a powder room, a walk-in closet, and this makeup room.
The makeup room has a drop ceiling that adds to the coziness of the space and cove lighting that casts a soft and warm glow. The area is completed with open shelves for her Prada, Gucci, Tory Burch, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton bags. There is also enough storage for her Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin, Prada, and Gucci shoes.
