1. Baking Soda

We’re all familiar with how versatile and powerful this powder is. Baking Soda is an effective deodorizer when you want to get rid of funky smells! Simply leave a bowl in your refrigerator or inside your cabinets to get rid of the stink.

2. Vinegar

The acidity of vinegar makes it a good disinfectant. Use a 50-50 solution of vinegar and hot water to clean countertops, glasses, windows, and tabletops. Click here to learn more.

3. Ketchup

Did you know that this favorite is also an effective cleaner? The acid in tomatoes makes it a perfect choice when polishing metals. Put a small amount on a soft cloth then clean your copper bowls, pans, and pots. Rinse these thoroughly and leave to dry. 

4. Salt

Who knew this cooking must-have can be used to get rid of grime stuck on skillets and pans? You can also use salt to remove coffee and tea rings found at the bottom of your mugs.

5. Walnuts

Walnuts are effective for removing scuffs and scratches on your wooden furniture. Simply rub it in a circular motion, then move back and forth along the scratch and watch is disappear.

6. Banana
