It can do more than carrying and serving kitchen treats!

Just like baskets, trays are practical must-haves that should be a staple in every household. They are great as storage, decor, and they add a unique depth to displaying small collections, too. To inspire you to experiment with beautiful catchalls, we've listed down a few ideas you can try:

1. Make the most of Sunday morning by having breakfast in bed! Bring in your favorite hearty meal on a serving tray with folding legs to keep everything nice and stable without getting food on your sheets.

2. Strategically place small trays around your home that can act as catchalls for keys, loose change, and important knickknacks.

3. If you have a knack for collecting smaller decor pieces such as teacups (as seen in photo), toys or perfumes, an elevated tray is a good platform to display these. Doing so will make your favorites stand out from the rest of your decor.

4. Do you love cooking? Set up a condiment tray to hold a variety of spices, oils, and dressings. You can even put this on the dinner table next to salad greens for an improvised salad bar.

5. A slightly deep serving tray lined with garden pebbles make for a practical place to park wet shoes or muddy boots when you enter the house during the rainy season.

RL Tip: While the moisture on the tray and pebbles will evaporate on its own, regular cleaning of the tray is still a must to avoid the growth of mold

6. No space for an indoor garden? Use a tray! Put pebbles and water in the tray before putting your small potted plants. Make sure to place the tray where the plants can receive enough sunlight, too.

7. Your to-read and currently reading piles don't have to be scattered about on your nightstand. A small but beautiful tray can keep them in place while adding a classy touch to your bedroom decor.

8. When storing dinnerware and other breakable items in your cupboards, putting them on a tray makes it easier to take them out when you have guests over. It keeps your cabinets extra organized, too!
