Kultura launched MAGARA, a premium artisanal shop-in-shop at its SM Makati boutique yesterday, September 9. The shop showcases must-have pieces such as exquisitely handwoven piña tops by Crafts for a Cause's Rurungan sa Tubod Foundation; hand-knotted necklaces with baroque pearls and other indigenous materials from Joyce Orena's Transformer collection; new statement jewelry with semi-precious stones from Tim Tam Ong; and elegant shell clutches and minaudieres from Cebu.
Those who are always on the lookout for items for the home are in for a treat as well! Accent pieces like curtain tassels and lamps made with indigenous materials like shell and ostrich eggs are also available. MAGARA is located inside Kultura at the 2nd level of SM Makati.

Yesterday's launch was a fund raising event for the benefit of Kultura's Crafts for a Cause member foundations. It highlighted uniquely Filipino pieces from Antique Atelier by Adante Leyesa, Amina Aranaz, Carissa Cruz – Evangelista, Emi Jorge, Eric Paras, Jun Delingon, Joyce Oreña, Malou Romero, Natalya Lagdameo, Silnag x Enida Danao, Techie Hagedorn, Tony Gonzales, Tim Tam Ong, and Tina Lirag. All proceeds from the designer pieces will go to the foundations as well as a portion of Kultura's entire day's sales.
