Bang also turned a small spring notebook into a desk calendar for this table. This sure beats a corporate giveaway calendar, doesn't it?

If you want to personalize your table napkins and other soft furnishings, you can try rubber stamps and fabric paint! In this case, K-Zone editor-in-chief Maggie Adan carved out her own pineapple stamp—this piece could definitely be used for a playful space.

Don't throw out those empty jars of sandwich spread! Homeowner Michelle says that you can wrap them in washi tape or colorful paper twine. Just remember to wash and dry them thoroughly first!

Cherish Que bought cheap filing cabinets online and spray painted them silver. The surprisingly affordable pieces are now used as bedside tables.
Cherish also decided to paint an old mirror frame white. It is now used to adorn an otherwise plain and simple wall.
Got an empty can of shoestring potatoes lying around? Follow Cherish's lead and wrap them in gold tape. You can use the finished project as tabletop decor or desk organizer.
You can even use gold tape to make your own accent wall! Cherish made a striped accent wall with strips of metallic tape.
