What are the best things about earning your own money? Aside from the sense of fulfillment and the freedom to choose what to spend on, it is also nice to be able to provide for your loved ones and save up for your future!

In the case of flight attendant Jennifer Alvero, she set aside enough money to invest in this two-storey house in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Here are the 7 things that you will fall in love with in this family home designed by interior designer Jean Suzanne Sy:

The Blue Front Door

Since many Filipino homes only have brown front doors, it was surprising to see a light blue front door in this two-storey house. Painting the inside of your own front door is an easy and budget-friendly way to instantly brighten up your home.

Teacup Chandelier

Our favorite piece in the dining area would have to be the charming teacup chandelier! The light bulbs are held in ceramic teacups with different patterns.

The Floral Curtains

Since the usual colors of floral prints can sometimes seem too sickeningly sweet, you can choose floral prints in bright shades of blue, green, and yellow!

The Cabinet Doors

If you want to have a country feel in your own home, you can replace your plain cabinet doors with charming French-style doors. The glass panes will also allow you to see what's inside your cabinets.

The Statement Chair

The bare hallway is spruced up with a fully upholstered wing chair with metal stud details. It is an instant conversation piece with its vibrant color and unusual shape. The corner is also an ideal spot for reading and relaxing.

The Blue-and-White Wall

Another easy way to transform your personal haven is to paint the walls! For this guest bedroom, interior designer Jean Suzanne Sy chose blue and white stripes.

The Color Scheme

For a polished yet playful appeal in the master bedroom, you can consider a color palette of gray and blue. This particular space is completed with a damask-print accent wall, a tufted headboard, and silky-soft pillows and sheets.
