7 Things to Love About Ogie and Regine's House in Quezon City
Be inspired by the three-storey house of this Pinoy celebrity couple
In 2005, Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez was looking for the perfect lot for her dream house. Since she specifically wanted to build a home on a hill, she fell in love with this site in an exclusive subdivision in Quezon City. The space became the ideal spot for a three-storey modern contemporary house for Regine, her husband Ogie Alcasid, and their three-year-old son Nate.
Here are the 7 things that we liked best in this property designed by architect Anthony Nazareno and interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario:
Surprisingly enough, the living room can actually be found on the second level of the house. The home was originally decorated by interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario but Ogie and Regine have made many changes to the space.
The leather L-shaped sofa is complemented with a black Crescenti Giant chair by Ann Pamintuan and an arc lamp by Kenneth Cobonpue. The white accent chair is a gift from actor Boy2 Quizon.
Contrary to popular belief, you don't really need too many things for your personal home office. A good table, comfortable chair, and a few must-have gadgets should be enough.
Just like Ogie and Regine, you can also use a creative photo display to show off precious family pictures. These snapshots can keep you focused and motivated.
Most buffet restaurants have theater-type kitchens that allow guests to watch the preparation of the food. Regine's family and friends can also see how she cooks delicious dishes in this open kitchen!
This set-up is recommended for homeowners that love to talk to their family and friends while whipping up breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
The dining area is furnished with a glass-top dining table from Furnitalia. This square dining table is surrounded with eight fully upholstered dining chairs.
Since Ogie and Regine regularly appear on television, they can catch some of the shows that they are in (and a few other favorites!) on the flat-screen TV. There is also a PlayStation 3 video game console that Ogie and his friends use on game nights.
The space by the staircase is made interesting with a black-and-white portrait of Regine. This piece was actually a surprise gift from Ogie.
Beneath it is a black Lyric grand piano, the same piano that Ogie used to compose some of his most memorable love songs.
The white glass sliding doors lead to this picture-perfect spot: a pair of lounge chairs with woven bases facing a luxurious infinity pool. Ogie, Regine, and Nate can enjoy a beautiful view of the city from this space.
The old music room has been turned into a kiddie room for Ogie and Regine's little one, fondly called "Baby Nate." We particularly love the charming cartoon-printed wallpaper and the tall open shelves.
