Add a shoe rack.

Your entryway will look cluttered if there are plenty of shoes left by the door! Try adding a shoe rack beside your main door where you can keep your favorite pairs.

RL Tip: Install a pull-out drawer for your shoes to save more space.

Organize important documents in folders.

It’s essential to have a system for your incoming bills and letters. Use one designated folder or a basket for all your important papers. It’s also best to clear out the folder once in a while to remove junk papers.

Install hooks.

If you have kids at home, it’s best to hang their school bags on sturdy hooks to avoid a cluttered space. This will also create a designated area for their things.

Use serving trays as catchalls.

If you are always on the go, you don’t want to misplace your car keys! Create a spot especially for your keys by adding a serving tray or bowl as catchalls for your keys and other tiny trinkets. If you want a more organized area, try adding multiple hooks with proper labels to separate your car keys from your house keys.

Hang a message board.

Install a small chalk board for writing important reminders and messages for family members to take note of. You can also paste a daily schedule on the board so you know about your kids whereabouts and if they need to be picked up at a certain time.

Place entry bins.

Put your daily essentials inside clear storage bins near your entryway for easy access. You can put your dog leashes or umbrellas inside the bins to make it easier for you to get them on your way out.
