6 Things To Remember When Living in a Condo Unit

Redefine compact living with these small space secrets

When you live in a tiny space, you never run out of clever ideas to try when it comes to making the home comfortable. Small spaces test your creativity and imagination, as you are prompted to think out of the box to answer different concerns. Here are six tips to help you do just that:

1. Turn even the tiniest of corners into storage.

The slim pantry tucked in a tiny corner seen in Solano Hills's model unit is a clever example. Look everywhere—upwards, under the bed, an unused corner—and see if you can turn them into storage spaces.

2. Let your wall be your accent.

There's no need to hang several photo frames or paintings if your wall already packs a punch. This brick wall seen in the living area of Solano Hills's model unit adds texture and warmth as well as creates that much-needed impact in an otherwise plain space.

3. Follow a theme or motif.

Avoid visual clutter by anchoring your small space in a specific look or color scheme. This kitchen found in the same model unit is dressed up in light blue hues. And with the latticework as a recurring element, the space looks put together.

4. Spice up your loo.

Make your bathroom stylish as well so it won't look like a neglected space. This bathroom found in the model unit of Vista Residences's Salcedo Square is made dramatic through the use of dark colors along with cove lighting.

5. Make use of the wall as storage.

Floating shelves make for great storage spaces. Take your cue from this bathroom seen in the model unit of Zinnia Towers—the space may be compact, but it has ample amount of storage space.

6. Add seating pieces by way of pillows.

No need to put an additional chair in your living area—floor pillows do the job just fine. Let your guests get cozy in a casual living room setup, as seen in this model unit of Zinnia Towers.
