Modern Tropical Design Fused with Lucky Finds in a Filipino-Inspired Residence

Architect Cathy Saldana suggested an art deco style for this home’s architectural structure. It highlights wrought iron grills on the windows and doors, a high ceiling, and an open layout for a relaxed breezy feel.

A Modern Tropical House Filled with Natural Elements

Given that the lot follows the curve of the street and that the owners wanted to keep the trees in the property, architect Kathleen Henares and contractor Fidel Henares made a couple of adjustments when they built this home.

The interiors are inspired by the countless trees outside the house. The wide open spaces create a relaxed and calming vibe.

An Open Layout for a Relaxing Tropical Home in Quezon City

Since the owner wanted something very simple, airy, and with natural light, architect Peter Buendia built a home filled with sliding doors and huge windows.

This house highlights an open plan – wherein the living, dining, and kitchen areas share a singular open space. Only a change in elevation separates the different areas of the house.

An Extraordinary Bahay Kubo in a Modern Setting

Architect Jorge Yulo fulfilled the request of the owner to have an extraordinary house. The roof is made of thatch and cogon while the house itself has eccentric angles, wide open spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows with tiny glass panels that slide open.

This home is said to be alive – with plants growing from the roof, foliage by the pond, and the carp that swims around the koi pond.

A Tropical Family Home in Paranaque

With the help of architect Joel Munoz, the owners of the home were able to build a stunning tropical home in the city. The two-storey home highlights a vertical double-height structure for the living area and foyer – giving the place a light and open feeling. The blooming garden outside adds life to the space.

A Beach-Style House in the City

Designed by Costa del Sul owner Didier Kerveillant and his wife Veronique, this resort-like home showcases an open access to the spacious outdoor areas where a large pool and lush surroundings give guests the feeling that they’re on vacation.

The dining area has a vaulted ceiling with light-colored wood, wide windows, and white walls that give the space a relaxed, outdoor feel.
