5 Ideas to Steal from Zsa Zsa and Conrad's Home

Singer Zsa Zsa Padilla and architect Conrad Onglao live together in this modern Asian haven in Makati. According to the engaged couple, Conrad designed and built their three-storey property in 2012. The impressive modern contemporary style of the house is complemented by the Asian, tropical, and classic details inside.

Here are the 5 things that we can learn from this beautiful celebrity home in Makati:

Create an inviting foyer

If you would like to improve your personal space, you can start with the entrance of your home. Just like Conrad, you can bring in a wall mirror and a console table. Adorn the console table with candles, plants, and coffee table books.

RL Tip: If you have no space for a receiving area, you may want to just adorn the wall facing your front door with framed family photos and other interesting pieces.

Opt for clear glass panels

If you are still building or renovating your house, you may want to ditch some solid walls in favor of glass windows and doors. Clear panels will let more sunlight in and make your space seem bigger than it really is. According to Conrad, these would also turn your garden into "art" for your home.

Pair the old with the new

A few steps away from the living area is the well-appointed dining area. The space is furnished with a modern dining table surrounded with traditional chairs. In decorating your own home, you might also want to pair an antique piece with brand new finds.

RL Tip: Instead of buying a new dining set, you can also update your old pieces! You may want to paint your dark brown tables and chairs white.

Set up an informal dining area

While a grand dining table may look elegant and sophisticated, it may seem too formal for everyday meals. If you would like to create a more casual and relaxed space, you can purchase a small dining set for your kitchen.

RL Tip: You can also create an informal dining area in your balcony or garden.

Invest in white bed linen

Have you ever noticed that beds in high-end hotels have white pillows and bed sheets? We think that white pieces are chosen because they look clean, calming, and indulgent. If you would also like to feel like you're on vacation in the comfort of your own home, you may want to purchase white linen.
