There's an unexplained glee whenever we see a fantastic Christmas tree. If you're about to spruce up yours just in time for the merry season, you might be looking for pegs you can follow. To help you out, we've done a bit of Instagram stalking and collated a couple of photos posted by local celebrities. Whether you're working on a tall one or a tiny wonder, you'll surely find these trees charming and inspiring:

1. Have fun with colors.

While red, green, and gold are favorites when it comes to finalizing the Christmas decor, you can still make your setup stand out by opting for pieces with a metallic touch. In Kim Chiu's home, hints of silver, gold, green, and pink—her favorite color, complete the look.

We can't help but admire the finished tree! It has a dainty touch—given the pink balls and poinsettias, and an elegant feel, thanks to the metallic pieces. Get started with this look by mixing and matching your decor. If you're not into metallic balls and decor, you can pick a ribbon with hints of gold and silver and use it as a finishing touch.

2. Decorate with stockings and kiddie decor.

It's always fun to involve the kids when decorating the home for Christmas! They can color Santa printouts and even hang the stockings. Take your cue from Team Kramer by adding a kiddie touch to the tree. Use mini stuffed toys as decor for your tree—choose those that sport a holiday theme like snowmans, reindeers, and even a little Santa Claus on top! You can also hang mini Christmas stockings to make it extra cheerful.

3. Go classic.

You can never go wrong with the classic combo of gold and red. Aside from being favorites, these colors somehow bring back memories of past Christmas celebrations and reunions. Pops Fernandez spruced up her tree with touches of red. To keep it from being boring, she chose balls in different sizes—with some even having interesting textures. Double up the warmth by adding in twine and wooden decor as additional accessories. These picks also add a rustic touch.

4. Have fun with ribbons, fabric, pine cones, and more.

While many would rather have a simple tree with whimsical decor and string lights, there are a few who go all out and experiment with a new look. If you want to try something bold this year, Korina Sanchez-Roxas's tree can be your peg. Begin by decorating your tree with the usual Christmas balls and poinsettias. Once you're done, hang pine cones, ribbons in gold, red, and green, and your chosen embellishments.

Here's the fun part: gather old scraps of fabric and use it to wrap old Christmas balls. Use a string to hang it on your tree. You can also add mini rattan decor for a local spin or group two to three balls together using twine before hanging them up. Make sure you balance out the decor to avoid a cramped and busy look.

RL Tip: Feel free to add decor as long as your tree can handle the weight of the pieces. If you want to work with different accessories, it's best to work with a tall and bushy tree.

5. Play with gold.

For an elegant and sophisticated tree, take inspiration from Dawn Zulueta's golden setup. The actress livened up her tree with gold Christmas balls, a chic gold ribbon, twigs, and even silver reindeers as additional decor. To complement the richness of the gold elements, Dawn chose string lights with a warm glow. Just looking at the tree will make you feel fuzzy inside, don't you agree?

For a similar look, consider decorating your tree with gold balls and ribbons. Instead of buying decorative twigs, you can count on your DIY skills! Gather thin twigs from your garden and spray paint it in silver or gold! You can also keep it as is. Click here for a quick guide.

6. Work with white and silver.

If you're into shining, shimmering silver things, dress up your tree with silver and metallic balls, a glittery ribbon, and white Christmas string lights. Those who want to work on a DIY project can also transform styrofoam balls into fancy decor by dipping them into a bowl of silver glitters.

What we love most about Marjorie Barretto's decor is the streamlined look that's also seen in the dining area. If you have a chandelier or pendant lamps, see if you can hang a garland and a string of tiny bells. Just make sure that your lighting fixture can handle the weight.
