Given all the kitchens we’ve seen over the years, there are a few spaces that stand out for a good number of reasons. Some are too tiny that you’re left wondering how the owners are able to cook and prep meals and there are a few that are so spacious that you can’t help but look for hidden nooks and crannies.

Aside from being an efficient space, each kitchen also highlights a unique feel that are worthy of likes, hearts, and shares. For those looking for a cup of design inspiration, here are five spaces that perfectly blend style, function, and more:

Since the owner owns a cupcakery and café, interior designer Wilan Dayrit renovated the space to give her a bigger kitchen. Built-in wall niches were added as storage for small appliances like mixers and blenders.

Idea to steal: If having built-in niches similar to the one found in this space requires too much work, you can still have extra storage by decluttering your cabinets and drawers. Install proper partitions and make space for the appliances that you often use.

A small kitchen need not be boring with white cabinets and plain walls. In this charming home designed by interior designer Jean Suzanne Sy, the doors also function as chalkboard walls for notes and lists while the backsplash adds life to the space.

Idea to steal: While you can have your own chalkboard wall or cabinet door, you can also craft a utensil board where you can hang essentials and tools that you often use in the kitchen. This idea makes use of vertical space while adding a lived-in feel to your cooking spot.

Many are choosing the country style for their dream homes and we’re not surprised. It exudes an undeniable warmth and each element seem to invite you to stay, sit down, and relax. One of our favorite homes is this retirement home designed by interior designer Carlo Martin Mecate. The kitchen features a white palette that makes it airy and we especially loved the teak wood-topped kitchen counter that can withstand heat.

Idea to steal: Aside from teak, there are different materials that you can consider for your countertops. Look beyond style and choose a material that’s durable and easy to maintain. Click here for options.

In many kitchens, simple upgrades can also leave a major impact. To keep the compact kitchen from being too dull, interior designer Ruby Besira chose a white textured splash back. It works well with the neutral-colored drawers and cabinets.

Idea to steal: Since subway tiles are the hottest materials in the market today, you may want to consider it for your own kitchen too. If you find it common, you can create a statement by choosing black subway tiles or mosaic pieces to make it extra interesting.

One would assume that the kitchen found in this 50sqm unit also has concrete and steel elements to mirror the overall look of the house. Well, say hello to a cooking corner with touches of Old Rose. According to the owner, the shade helps soften up the browns, grays, and blacks found in the home.

Idea to steal: Don’t be afraid to mix and match colors in your kitchen. You can go bold with really bright hues or keep it simple with hints of yellow, red, or even blue.
