Yellow is one of the go-to colors when you want to make a space look cheerful. And if you’re dying to use this color, check out these spaces that will inspire you to work with this happy hue:

1. Create a yellow accent wall.

Interior designer Katharine Manuel gave life to this living room by creating a yellow, patterned accent wall. It also serves as a great focal point in the area.

2. Go all out yellow.

This dining area couldn’t look more cheerful, thanks to its yellow wall, yellow bar stools, and warm lighting. The wooden bar counter makes the space even more charming.

3. Make it classy by combining pale yellow and beige.

This combination helps this bedroom exude a hotel-like vibe. The horizontal stripes on the wall give the illusion of a wider space, while the vertical ones stretch the room upwards as though it has a high ceiling.

4. Balance light yellow with mid- to dark neutrals.

In this living area, the brown sofa and area rug keep the space from looking sweet. The brown-and-yellow color palette also makes the space gender-neutral, which is apt for a family home.

5. Pair yellow with other bright colors.

This children’s bathroom looks fun and inviting thanks to its quirky wall details. The fern green sink complements the yellow walls and adds a youthful vibe.
