5 Ways to Personalize A Semi-Furnished Condo Unit

Turn your newly acquired property into a delightful, cozy home

To make moving in easier, there are homeowners who purchase semi-furnished condo units. These spaces come with basic pieces of furniture like a couch, side tables, and a coffee table, to name a few. While having these in an instant can save you from a lot of stress, your new home might end up looking plain and ordinary. Worry not, you can turn things around with a few accessories and styling tricks. Get started with the ideas below:

Living Area

How can you best liven up a standard living area? Invest in the right soft furnishings and accessories. Depending on the theme and look you have in mind, choose pillows in bold and energetic hues. These pop out and easily grab the attention of guests. You can also anchor the area using a rug and complete the look with a wall accent.

Consider having a backsplash to improve your cooking area's overall look. You can also update the pulls and knobs of your drawers and cabinets without spending thousands. To keep clutter at bay, consider installing wall-mounted shelves where you can keep utensils, ingredients, and other food items.

Dining Area

While you can keep and stick to a formal dining set, there are quick upgrades you can work on to brighten up this part of the home. Consider getting new dining chairs to give the area an eclectic feel. Aside from mixing-and-matching the seating pieces, you can also bring in an upholstered bench to accommodate more people.

RL Tip: Once you've updated your furniture, you can add finishing touches like wall art, a lovely centerpiece, and a lighting fixture, too.

A sturdy bed is essential so you can rest and recuperate after a tough day, but you can still make the most of the space you have. Start by sprucing up the bed with lively sheets, printed pillow covers, and patterned throws. If you have a night table, personalize it with framed photographs, a lamp, or a stack of books you love.

Even if you have a tiny loo, you shouldn't neglect it. Consider installing wall-mounted baskets to hold clean towels and toiletries. You can also add a unique wastebasket or brighten up the countertop with a vase of fresh flowers.

RL Tip: Aside from displaying fresh flowers, you can also decorate the T&B with indoor plants!
