From adding a bouquet of fresh blooms to eye-catching art, it's no secret that the smallest details can make the biggest impact when styling your home. This includes adding throws to a space to completely transform its look. To give you ideas on how to use these snug pieces as decor, here are a few ways on how you can work it into your aesthetic:

1. Use it to add texture to a plain space.

If you want to give your home a personality boost without using color, texture is the way to go. Replace the usual centerpiece with a faux fur throw and put it in the middle of the living area—this will get the attention of whoever sees it to the focal point of the space.

2. Add depth to a minimalist-inspired room.

If you are going for a cleaner look, you can keep your space interesting with darker shades that mimic shadows. Casually display a paisley-printed throw over your white sheets to give the room more depth.

3. If you're not into monochromatic looks, go with bright-colored pieces instead.

The smallest hint of color can bring a space to life. A neon-colored throw placed over a sofa's armrest allows for a sophisticated but fun look without sacrificing comfort.

4. Add a thick throw at the foot of the bed for a welcoming sleeping space.

Aside from keeping you extra cozy at night, this is ideal for long weekends when you need to keep yourself warm but don't want to get all the way under the covers and mess up your bed.

5. Match your throw with other accessories at home.

A throw in the same color as the decor pieces can make the most eclectic spaces look cohesive. If you have vibrant pillows in the living area, pick a throw that's only a shade lighter to keep the look streamlined.
