If you love reading and collecting books then you've probably faced this dilemma: "Where can I store and display my collection of books?" Aside from having one or two shelves at home, you may also utilize unexpected spaces to store your favorite reads.

Here are five ideas that you may want to consider.

Under the stairs

Make the most of the extra space under the staircase for your books! You may even turn it into a private reading nook. Place an open shelf that is proportional to the available space. Make sure that you have enough headroom so you can move freely and your space won't look cramped.

RL Tip: Don't have an extra shelf? Stack your books horizontally to create an organized space. You may group them according to size to create an organized look.

On your walls

Want to maximize your space? You may install wall-mounted shelves on your walls where you can display your current reading list. This creates an illusion of floating books, too! Click here for more ideas on how you can display your favorite things

Under the coffee table

Stack it up

Above your sink

Utilize the empty space in your bathroom by installing wall-mounted shelves above your sink or water closet! If you're thinking of having a long soak in the bathtub, your favorite books are just within reach.

RL Tip: Make sure you install your shelf in a cool and dry place to avoid mold growth. Click here for more tips to avoid molds at home.
