5 Decorating Must-Dos Within Your Budget
Work on these budget-friendly ideas that won't break the bank
Given our long list of expenses at home, it can be hard to allot some budget for home upgrades and mini home improvement projects. Fortunately, with a couple of styling and decorating tricks, you can update the look of your home without spending tons of cash.
Consider these creative decorating ideas that will up your style game even if you're low on cash:
Add some LBD (Little black décor)
For some reason, everything looks more stylish and sophisticated in black. Reupholster your chair in cheap black canvas, spray-paint your clear vases black, or even paint a plain old coffee table with black! This neutral hue is a classic choice that never goes out of style.
Go for potted not planted
For your garden, potted plants are easier to move to either sunny or shady spots—hence they are easier to maintain than ground-planted plants. Potted ones will also help you save money on watering and gardening needs. If you haven’t decided on what plant to purchase, go for succulents! They are charming and easy to maintain, too!

Repurpose old pieces
If you’ve just upgraded to a nice, slim LCD TV, don’t toss out your bulky cabinet just yet. Transform it into a beautiful paminggalan in the kitchen for your delicate plates.
Opt for a chalkboard wall
If you’re forever repainting your child’s bedroom walls because of their doodles, give into their habits and paint one wall with blackboard paint and let them doodle away. When they’re a bit older, they can even turn it into a graffiti wall.
Sell your stuff
Sometimes the best solution is the easiest one—clearing out your house, for example. Set out your old dinnerware, furniture, and vinyls from the 70s and hold your own garage sale. You’ll declutter your house, and earn quick cash as well!
