5 Things To Sell At Your Next Garage Sale
Everything must go!
We think everyone would agree when we say that staging garage sales are a win-win situation—not only do you get to declutter your home of things you no longer need, but you also get to earn extra money that you can save for a rainy day. To help you maximize your time and profit, we've listed down a couple of items that sell faster than pancakes. Check them out below:
Kids' stuff—be it books, clothes and especially toys—usually get snapped up quickly at yard sales. In the case of toys, these are items young ones outgrow very easily so a lot of parents tend to invest in secondhand pieces.
2. Outdoor furniture
Another thing that stops traffic are seating pieces for the backyard. Since it is exposed to a lot of elements, lanai furnishings are also something most people avoid buying brand new. However, make sure you offer pieces that are still in good condition so you can sell them at reasonable prices.
3. Anything you have never used
We're all guilty of keeping gifts we've recieved—even if we never really liked them. Instead of regifting them, consider leaving them in the original packaging and selling them. Everyone is always on the lookout for pieces that have never been used so these are sure sales!
4. Name-brand clothing
If you have a lot of designer pieces that you don't see yourself using anymore, consider putting them up for sale. A lot of high-end pieces have a possibility of appreciating over time so you can sell these at a slightly steeper price point.
5. Vinyl Records
Got an extensive collection of records that used to belong to your Dad in your garage? Unless you are into the same type of music, there's a wide market for these albums. Before offering them up at BOGO (buy one, get one) though, it's important to research their value online to make sure you're not selling yourself short.
