5 Things to Love in Solenn Heussaff’s Condo Unit

You can achieve the same rustic charm that her space has with the right pieces and accessories

When we first featured the unit Solenn Heussaff shares with her husband Nico Bolzico, it was easy to see why many loved seeing snapshots of the home on Instagram. The warmth it exudes is undeniable, the furniture pieces are well-thought-out, and it even has a balcony that’s peg-worthy!

Designed by Heim Interiors, the Moroccan-inspired space proves that you can have statement pieces, bold colors, and other interesting details while still maintaining a cozy and inviting look. Of course, the personalities of the owners still shine through—as seen in the living area, kitchen, and Nico’s man cave. To further inspire you, here are some of the things we loved in the couple’s home sweet home and how you can accomplish something similar:

1. The fluffy pillows that liven up the sofa

It's no secret that throws and pillows can make any area at home extra cozy and inviting. While this part of the home features details that highlight Nico's love for polo and a brick wall, it's kept relaxing with the addition of the comfy sofa and soft furnishings.

On the left side of the couch, you can spot L'Indochine's Namibia Pillow. It perfectly complements the colors of the rug and the rest of the decor, too. If you're looking for ways on how to spruce up your own seating piece, you can count on pillows with interesting colors and textures. Pair it with a throw for a snug and comforting feel.

Aside from the Namibia Pillow, L'Indochine has different pillows you can add to your space. Visit them at the 3rd Level of SM Aura Premier. You can also follow them on Instagram for updates.

2. The balcony filled with colorful chairs

Who wouldn't enjoy soaking up some sun in this bright outdoor nook? To work with the home's theme and to give the balcony a jolt of color, lively chairs—one of which is the Albini Lounge Chair—from A. Garcia complete this spot. Aside from allowing the couple to take in the view, it's also where they can enjoy some snacks and drinks during lazy afternoons or even welcome guests during parties.

A. Garcia Crafts has been known for quality and stunning home must-haves like chairs, sofas, tables, and accessories. Aside from visiting the factory in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga, you can also drop by the showroom at 225 2nd Floor, LRI Design Plaza, N. Garcia Street, Makati City. Click here to visit their website.

3. The subtle addition of a designer piece

Sitting pretty in one corner of the living area is Vito Selma's Alegra swing chair. It's the best seat in the house if one simply wants to meditate, read a book, or spend a few minutes reflecting. The said designer piece features a metal frame and abaca fibres—a fine balance of natural and industrial elements.

A world-renowned designer, Vito Selma is known for his intricate pieces that seem to add a Zen touch to any space. Whether it's a chair, a table, or a lamp—each piece speaks of quality craftsmanship. See more of his designs when you visit his website.

4. The captivating rug in the living area

Aside from defining the living area from the rest of the unit, the rug also adds color and life to the home dominated by white and wooden elements. It's difficult to miss the said piece—after all, it's an Inigo Elizalde rug. The patterns and textures are enough to make guests stop and ask where it's from.

Inigo Elizalde Rugs is a rug and textile design studio in New York City. They also customize Nepalese hand knotted rugs. Click here to learn more.

5. The fancy dining table

How many times have you seen the It-gang hanging out in Solenn and Nico's unit? It's safe to say that they have hosted a couple of get-togethers and parties for friends. The rustic-inspired lighting fixture and wooden table add to the welcoming feel, but it's the changing dinnerware that also caught our attention. If you also have a wooden dining table at home, you can liven it up with a table runner and a set of plates in earthy tones.

For dining area must-haves, you can visit Habitat at the 3rd Level of Abenson, 28th Street and 4th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City (beside Ascott BGC Hotel). You may also want to drop by Crate & Barrel, SM Makati for options.
