It's safe to say there's more to storage than creating places or having specific areas to stash your stuff—it's also about making sure it doesn't clash with your existing decor and keeping your home looking streamlined. After all, there is no point in organizing your belongings if they are going to end up looking unkempt. To help you manage your mess in style, here are some ideas you can try:

1. A hidden clothesline

Undoubtedly, a well-styled laundry area can instantly be ruined by a hanging clothesline as it can make a space look cramped and untidy. Consider buying fold-out clotheslines that won't get in the way. You can even have them installed on a blank wall for easy access—all you have to do is pull them up or push them down when not in use (as seen in photo).

2. A table skirt

Maximize the space under your dining or side table as storage by concealing the stuff with a table skirt. To make sure it doesn't look like it was done haphazardly or mismatched with your decor, try having your trusty tailor customize pieces for you.

3. Hampers with lids

Believe it or not, something as simple as putting a lid over hampers can be a game changer in making your home look more put together. Aside from hiding dirty clothes and backups from plain sight, it makes standard bins look extra fancy.

4. A mail cubby

Keep snail mail in order by assigning a specific spot for them by the entrance of your home. Instead of going for an ordinary box, consider investing in something wall-mounted with several slots for bills, letters or cards. This will prevent clutter in the foyer, too!

5. Built-in floor drawers

If you're set on a storage system that is invisible to the naked eye, consider having floor storage built—it works especially in tiny homes where space is worth its weight in gold. The best part? You can store anything you need to put away such as seasonal clothing, multiple copies of books, bottles of wine, and more.
