Our home’s style is a reflection of who we are. To be able to keep it homey and welcoming, we need to preserve its beauty and style. If you think that you space has become a bit dull and plain, you can liven it up with the help of a few simple must-dos.

Here are five things that you can do to brighten up your home:

Display your prized possessions

Add a personal touch to your space by showcasing your favorite things. Don't be afraid to style your room according to what you want. Feel free to display your plants, books, and other collections. You can incorporate them to your home's style as these can serve as accent pieces and decor.

Pick your favorite color scheme

Are there specific colors that make you happy? If you love a specific shade, you can use it to liven up your bedroom. Your home's overall scheme can even revolve around it. If the color that you have in mind is stoo strong like red, there's no need to worry! You can always use it as an accent color! Choose accessories and decor in your preferred shade.

Working on DIY projects—whether big or small, is a good way to channel happy and positive vibes. Craft pieces that you can display and remind you of happy memories. Doing this can also help you save money as you can recycle and repurpose old pieces that you have at home. Simple makeovers that you accomplished on your own will add to your home's positive energy.

Start your own organizing tricks

Do you always feel overwhelmed when working on household chores? Try to experiment and find the perfect cleaning and organizing schedule that suits you. If you have a tight schedule, you can at least devote 10 to 20 minutes of your time to organizing the bedroom and kitchen before leaving the house. Come weekend, you can work on one or two areas. Once you've achieved the right balance, you will definitely look forward to decluttering your space.
